The 74th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Friday 29th April 1887 over the Rowley Mile, was Reve d'Or (Evens fav), a chestnut filly by Hampton out of Queen of the Roses, owned by the 8th Duke of Beaufort. The winner won by 1/2 a length in 1 minute 47.60 secs, with a further 1/2 length back to the third.
